Run Jerimiah run! I repeat run Jerimiah run!
This is my main thought and takeaway from the seventh season of Peacock’s “Love Island Usa.”
Now some of my more devout readers have reached out to me and asked me something along the lines of “Steviepoooooo, why the flying fuck are you covering Love Island Usa?” Because! Once again, I repeat that the show is intentionally hilarious. It is kind of a satire of other reality dating shows. Why wouldn’t I want to watch some of the dumbest, hottest, most entertaining people on the planet argue with each other.
The main storyline taking place right now is the failing romance of Jeremiah and Huda. I will get to that a little bit later as I am eagerly awaiting the results of tonight’s episode.
In my last post about Love Island, I ranked all of the Islanders. I will not be doing that in full this time. Just know that some of the rankings have drastically changed. The two biggest changes are of Huda and Austen.
Huda has become the wet blanket of the series. She just seems determined to make the show about her and her baby. That storyline is fine, I guess. It is just a little too wholesome for Love Island. I watch this show to escape from everyday problems. Huda is for some reason bringing her everyday problems into the show and attempting to make them the star.
I am trying not to sound too harsh. I am sure she has had a very hard life up to this point. I just feel like she is maybe not in a good place right now mentally. Being on Love Island might feel like psychological warfare to her. She also seems way too possessive. I have never, in my sadly vast Love Island watching experience, ever seen someone sink their claws into their partner so fast.
As far as Huda has plummeted down my rankings of favorite Islanders, Austen has skyrocketed near the top of the rankings. His incredibly stupid voice aside, Austen seems to be one of the few Islanders who actually understands the show. Some people like Huda, don’t appear to know what type of show they agreed to be on. Austen appears to know all too well. During the S&M challenge I laughed out loud when he stuck his little butt out to get spanked by Ariana. That is the type of energy that show needs!
Austen is also showing tremendous restraint when it comes to his fellow Islander Ace. It is painfully obvious that Chelley, Austen’s current partner, is far more interested in Ace. However, Ace continues to just play games with Chelley and refuses to commit to her. Austen would be well within his right to tell Ace to fuck off. He has never done anything of the sort.
I really don’t understand what is going with Ace. Mrs. Steviepoooooo and I both think that he thinks that he is too good for any of the other Islanders. Anytime any of the girls get remotely close to him emotionally he seems to tell them to take a step back. He also continues to tell every girl that he is interested in that he likes other girls and wants to talk to them. I know VERY little about women. Even my big dumbass knows that girls do not want to hear you talk about how you like other girls. Get it together Ace!

The argument between Jeremiah and Huda about pancakes might prove to be one of the monumental moments of the season. It might seem like a small deal in the moment, but in the big picture, her being upset by something so minor should be the reddest of red flags for Jeremiah. Jeremiah’s fellow male Islanders are continuing to drop hints to him that they do not think he would have a good time with Huda outside of the villa.
I honestly think that having America vote and break up Jeremiah and Huda was the only way it could have happened. The producers needed to find some way to break up this potentially toxic couple. If not break them up at least throw an interesting wrench at them.
After voting for Huda to leave the Island Nic and Ace need to be concerned about being stabbed. Huda is going to want to kill them! Tomorrow’s episode is going to have fireworks!
