As much as I fucking love Love Island, even your boy Steviepooooo can’t deny that season seven has lost its momentum from the strong start. There have been so many god damn scandals.
We started out the season with one contestant getting booted from the show after one episode. For those of you who do not know, Yulissa was ejected from the villa for using the N word multiple times on a radio show. What a start.
Now, one of the previously most beloved islanders and half of one of the strongest couples, Cierra, was fired from the show for using a racial slur about Asian people. She did so in a social media post a few months ago. It’s as if this year’s crop of Islanders are playing a game of “Hold my beer. Let’s see who can do the stupidest thing next.”
This has been an incredibly frustrating season from a fan viewing perspective. The peak of the season was unquestioningly when Jeremiah was still around causing all sorts of chaos in the villa. The ladies loved Jeremiah, and he loved them back. Regardless of how you feel about the Jeremiah Huda relationship, that was some god damn entertaining television.
To be honest with you, some recent events in the villa really have me questioning the authenticity of the relationships on the show. Some of you might be thinking “Steviepooooo you fucking idiot of course these relationships are not authentic. They are all just in it for the fame and clout!” I have had that thought many times over my Love Island viewing career. I just chose to believe in love and see the best in people.
The two relationships that have me genuinely questioning the self-proclaimed genuine intentions of the Islanders are Nic and Orlandria and Pepe and Iris. Nic, Pepe, and Iris were recently in serious couples. They all claimed to very much like their other half of the couple. All of their partners were sent home for various reasons. The three of them were sad for all of a few hours and then quickly paired up with another Islander.
Nic in particular was a little too quick to move on for my liking. He and Cierra were openly fornicating around the other Islanders for peats sake! The fact that all three of these people moved on so quickly might demonstrate to me that all of the Islanders just want to be on TV. Nic and Orlandria especially feel like a producer generated couple to attempt to spice things up a bit and generate ratings.
I need to finish by talking to my boy Chris about Huda. Run boy run. He is possibly the most socially mature man to EVER be on Love Island. Huda is beginning to get comfortable enough to start treating Chris the same way she treated Jeremiah. She loves to be in control at all times. Chris has even said this much on the show.
Huda simply cannot help but get super upset when someone does something that is not exactly the way she would have done it or prefers for it to be done. The fact that she got so mad at Chris for taking a rag off their fictional baby’s head too fast should be setting off alarm bells in his head. Run bro run. It is only going to get worse. You saw what happened to our sweet prince Jeremiah. Don’t let the same happen to you bro. Get out before you get in too deep.
Sadly, for our boy Chris, we are so deep into the season there is probably nowhere for him to run. It might be his best move to just stick it out to the end of the season. He will then cut things off with Hurricane Huda the SECOND the show ends. Do it Chris. Steviepoooooo believes in you!
I sadly do not know who me and the Mrs. are going to vote for to win the season. The answer is probably Amaya and Brian. They are such a new couple it would feel a little wrong for them to swoop in and win the season. That being said, now that Nic and Cierra are donezo , I do not see any other options.
If fucking Ace and Chelley win, I will run around my neighborhood in a banana hammock until either someone hits on me, or I go to jail.
