NFC East? More Like NFC LEast!

Thus begins the annual summer series where your boy Steviepoooooo makes his NFL preseason predictions. I will go through each division in detail.

Let the games begin!

1st: Philadelphia Eagles

No surprise here. After capping off last season with an impressive run to the Super Bowl, the Eagles are going to come back strong. They will determined that last season one of the more dominant championship runs we have seen in quite some time.

The defensive was unbelievable. I know they lost a few good guys on defense, such as Darius Slay and Brandon Graham, but a core of their dominant defense is coming back. Part of what made them so special was that some of their best defensive players, such as Cooper Dejean, were literal babies. I think their defense might be even better this season. These young players are going to take a step forward and contribute even more.

Offensively, I believe in Jalen Hurts. He is never going to be the best quarterback in the NFL. He is however damn good. He is plenty good enough to lead the team to a championship. He literally did so last season. He is the NFL equivalent to the Boston Celtic’s Jayson Tatum.

Their offensive line is the thing of legend and will continue to be great next season. Their skill positions are also well above average. This is quite possibly the most well-rounded team in the league. For that reason, they have a good chance to repeat as Super Bowl champions.

Current over under win total is 11.5. Your boy is betting… OVER

Dallas Cowboys 2nd

Jerry Jones should step down as the team’s general manager. This will never ever happen, but I think if he did, Jerry would thoroughly enjoy the benefits of having a levelheaded general manager.

I reserve the right to change this prediction if they do indeed trade Micah Parsons. Micah is one of the best players in all of football. Not to mention one of the best edge rushers I have seen in quite some time. There are only two pass rushers I would rather have over him. Their names will be revealed in time. For now, let’s focus on dem God damn Cowboys.

Their rise to second place has more to do with the regression of another team in the division than it has to do with the Cowboy’s improvement. On paper there is a lot of talent. I still just don’t believe in Dak Prescot’s ability to do anything special in the playoffs.

Current over under win total, 7.5…. Slam that over

3rd Washington Commanders

Jayden Daniels is special. Jayden Daniels is fast. Jayden Daniels is also fucking old for a second-year quarterback. I think there is strong possibility that last season will end up being the best season of his NFL career. I am not sure there is any room for improvement.

He caught all the other teams off guard last season. That will not be happening again this season. Teams will be better prepared for his skill set. Daniels will still be great, but he will not be as spectacular. His greatness was able to overcome a lot of other deficiencies the team had last season. The defense is not good. That is going to continue to be the case this year.

The Terry Mclauren situation is going to be a huge distraction. There is no way it can’t be. The same could be said for Micah Parsons and the Cowboys. The difference is the Commander’s offense will sputter without their best receiver. As great as Micah is, the Cowboys will still be able to field a decent defense without him.

Vegas over under 9.5… smash that under!

4th New York Giants

There is honestly not a lot that I can say positive about the New York Football Giants. Their quarterback situation is straight up laughable. I am not a strong believer in Jaxon Dart. I also would die happy if I never seen Russel Wilson’s old ass plays another NFL game.

The most entertaining option at quarterback would be Jameis Winston. He would at least throw bombs to Malik Nabers. Nabers and Tevon Thibodeaux are the only real bright spot on their team. Enjoy another year of tanking Giants Fans. Maybe you’ll get Archie Manning.

Vegas over under, 5.5…. Smash that under! Smash it!

A bientot!
